Evelyn Mackin Travel Grant 2024

“I wanted to let you and the AHTF board know that we finally received formal approval for the Ukrainian translation of the DASH/QuickDASH: 

This was a secondary aim for our 2024 Mackin grant and it took quite a bit longer than expected but we finally crossed the finish line. The grant funds were primarily used in the early phase for translation – translating from English to Ukrainian and then back again to ensure consistency. Then, several Ukrainian hand therapists field tested it to get feedback for final edits. It was a huge win and morale booster for the Ukrainian hand therapy community and a bit of a sliver lining considering all of the hardship they have faced over the course of the way.
